We would like to take this opportunity to invite you and your unit to the 10th Annual Living History & Reenactment Weekend being held at Allison Woods in Statesville, North Carolina on September 14th, 15th & 16th, 2012.
Allison Woods is approximately 1000 acres of pristine woods, streams and trails, wonderful for horses or walking. There is also a pond with fish, so bring your fishing pole! We offer shaded campsites with lots of room for children to play along with a fine Sutler row for any extras you might need or want!
Reenactors are expected to provide displays and activities of a working military installation and to interact with our visitors. Some of the things our Civil War event will offer is a Saturday and Sunday battle, as well as all of the normal amenities, (portable toilets, firewood, and water buffaloes). Ice will be for sale onsite. Bounties given to cannons, mortars and cavalry.
Registration Fee: $5.00
Before August 14, 2012: $5.00
After August 14, 2012: $10.00

Powder bounties will be ($100) for artillery units that are pre-registered.
Cavalry bounties will be given to the first two Confederate and first two Federal units registered.
There will also be plenty of music, food and fun! We will have an 1860’s fashion show, Sunday morning period worship service, workshops, demonstrations, and children’s activities not to mention our Civil War BINGO game that everyone of all ages enjoy!
This year we will once again offer in addition to our normal Civil War reenactment and living history – a living history event that will feature a military timeline to include all wars of the United States. This should be a wonderful treat for School Days on Friday, thth. There will also be battles on Saturday and Sunday. We need, and welcome your help as we honor our ancestors and the wars they were a part of.
Registration fees and gate money go toward funding this event and amenities. Proceeds will go to the restoration of the Historic Vance House Museum and educational school programs offered by Allison Woods Foundation, both 501(c)3 organizations and tax deductible. Hosting units and organizers do not receive any compensation for this event.
This event has been growing steadily the past four years and we hope that you will consider making it a part of your 2012 schedule. For an event packet with registration papers, you can request them three ways.
